I hope you all have been enjoying the discussion on the Ascendant signs as much as I have been. Today we are at one of my favorites, Scorpio Rising. Oh my if you have a partner or a person in your life who is a Scorpio Rising, bless your soul. You do put up with a lot don’t you? Yes but you are nodding, they are so worth it. Indeed they are. Here we go with Scorpio today, one of the most intense signs of the zodiac. We love to love them, love to hate them, and then love to love them all over again. Why? Let’s find out.
Scorpio is a water sign and the most intense water sign of them all, perhaps because it is a Fixed Sign. Whatever Scorpio does, it does with intensity. You might love the new chocolate chip ice cream at the corner store at the end of the street, your Scorpio friend will think she is putting heaven in her mouth and could well go on about it for hours. She doesn’t love it more or better than you, just more intensely. And when Scorpio feels something about something, it fixes on that and feels intensely. When it’s good it is very very good, but when it is bad, well….in nature when Scorpions sting you, you die. Or at least you experience something horrific and painful that you don’t forget for a long time, if ever. In the zodiac, same thing.
But as intensely as you feel their negative effects, you feel their positive effects as well. And this is amplified in Scorpio Rising. You can feel them enter a room, even before they actually enter the room. Their aura is quite magical. It is one that is clearly blessed but that also says, don’t mess with them. The worst part about it, for them, is they have no idea they have this effect on people. Many people with Scorpio Rising are completely clueless at what they project and why people are the way they are around them.
People have a tendency to flock to Scorpio Rising. Scorpios and Scorpio Rising are the people that get chatted with on airplanes by complete strangers, for hours. Long detailed discussions on historic moments in someone’s childhood could be had with a scorpio rising, and you leave after knowing them less than 24 hrs but like they have made an impression you will never forget.
They are also very beautiful, but they don’t know that either. Same reaction. They have that incredible It factor effect on people but…don’t even know it. She’ll be walking down the city street on vacation and wonder cluelessly why all the men are cat calling and whistling to her, but the presumption that she will make is, “Oh my, the women in this city must enjoy these cat calling boys of this town” as she will presume they are like that with everybody. When they aren’t.
If you go out with the girls, or go out with the guys, and there’s that one amongst you that always seems to score more attention than anyone else in the group without even trying, my bet is that they have a little Scorpio in them. Somewhere : ) This is the sign that does not go unnoticed. Ever. And you will love them or hate them and nothing at all in between.
As great as they are with people they are also extremely privacy conscious, almost to the point of paranoia. Okay, to the point of paranoia. They are deeply mysterious and guarded and tell people nothing, and presume the same of everyone else. They frequently wonder who is trying to hack them or figure them out, and they will open up but rarely. Consider it an honor if a Scorpio opens up to you and respect it well or you will meet the stinger.
Because they can be a little intense they need someone who is laid back and down to earth in their life. Someone that they won’t mind when they are told to come back to planet Earth once in a while. Scorpio doesn’t mind it when you are honest with them, they just mind it when you are unkind.
Being a fixed sign they can be a bit stubborn at times, but this drive will also help them succeed. They will in fact stop at nothing to win, but they will not hurt anyone in the process so this is one place they will stop at when it comes to winning. In a crisis you can call on them if you need someone brave, confident, and good at making decisions. Scorpios are very intuitive and make hunch driven decisions that are remarkably successful.
