Happy June my friends I hope you all are enjoying this delicious season wherever you are in the world! This is the time of year when the weather forecasts are always impeccable, no? And your astrological forecasts have not been disappointing lately either if I do say so myself. Lately you may have heard me talk about the powerful effects of trines with the dreamy and intuitive planet of Neptune. What does this mean? Lately the most significant has been a Mercury trine Neptune, and this can be a very powerful aspect for those that need a boost in their romantic affairs. How? Let’s find out.

This is the kind of energy where you can literally send a telepathic message to your lover. Neptune is dreamy and intuitive and highly charged with psychic energy, Mercury is the planet of communication. So that’s exactly how or why. Hello folks, I hope you are enjoying a lovely May! As we move out of the month of May we look ahead to our June forecast. If you follow my Tumblr blog then you will already have access to my daily astrological forecast and know how I roll from the day to day end of things. Today we will take a sneak peek at what is ahead for the month of June. So let’s get to it!

The most positive aspect you can expect in the next little while will be three outer planets coming into a grand trine. Mercury on the other hand will go retrograde by the end of June, but if you work the grand trine in your favor, you may not care!

To start off June we have Mercury completing a triangle with Saturn and Neptune. This is an excellent time to make decisions and plans about your life. You may find that your motivation and possibly your energy slows down for a bit in early June, as Saturn and Mars energy will be conflicting. Perfect energy for one of those mental health days if you need it around the tenth of June. This week may also present some excitement in the air, and this is because some hidden opportunities may be on your way if you keep your eyes open, particularly in the area of romance!

A subtle feeling of unease could begin creeping up on Thursday, June 13th, but it will become stronger as the weekend begins on Friday, June 14th. Try to stay busy and remember the house, car, office, etc. is not haunted. The more we can keep our minds occupied, the less this feeling will influence us. All anxiety should be lifted by Father’s Day, Sunday June 16th, and celebrations should go as planned.

The week of June 17th will begin with Mars and Uranus shaking hands. Almost anything we attempt will be successful. We will be ready to get out of any ruts we may be in, and we will definitely be ready to do a little thinking outside of the box. It should be a great week for conversations, and artistic inspiration. Our luck should also be good, so don’t be afraid to take a chance.

The Sun will enter Cancer, and thus Summer will begin, as the weekend begins on June 21st. The Moon will be in Sagittarius approaching full on Friday and Saturday, June 21st and 22nd. Its going to be a time for fun, and play, and getting outdoors. The Full Moon will occur early Sunday morning in the sign of Capricorn. Positive energy from Saturn and Neptune will focus into this Full Moon, and we may fall in love, accomplish a major achievement, create something like we’ve never created before, or maybe just get lucky. Its going to be an excellent weekend for doing just about anything we want.

As we get closer to the end of June, we have friendship, romance, spiritual connections, all transpiring the week of June 24. Here you will even find it easier to deal with authority figures, and your decisions will feel practical and sound. You may find a few bumps after the 26th when Mercury turns retrograde, if anything you will see this in travel, internet, computer, and communication snaffoos. You will get through it just fine.

As the end of June rolls in, you will be feeling spiritual and creative. When the Moon enters Aries on the other hand, all of this could change and you will be feeling very self centred. Nothing wrong with that if you have taken the time to serve others earlier in the month.

If you follow my Tumblr blog then lately you may have heard me discuss the day to day effects of a transit period that is currently creating some intensity. This transit period is one that is going to last for some time, but lately the effects have been magnified simply by what is going on in the sky. So today I thought we would look at this particular aspect a little bit closer. What aspect is that? That would be the aspect where Uranus and Pluto get a little frisky with each other. Why is this such an intense aspect? Well, we have the planet of giftedness, genius, and unconventionality (Uranus) mixing with the planet of death and transformation (Pluto). What does that mean for you in English? Let’s get to it.

This is a 140 year period where these planets interact in a number of significant ways. In the 60s we saw this aspect move into Virgo which immediately created a period of genius activities and the Computer Age was born. In the 70s this aspect moved into Libra, and some balance was restored in the cosmos.

The time has come again for Uranus and Pluto to get frisky again, and what this will mean is that the collective unconscious will change as a whole. Our way that we think as a group, as a culture, as a society, is going to change. It is what I frequently refer to as the Age of Awareness. More and more people are entering the path of enlightenment than ever before, and this aspect can take a tremendous amount of credit for that.

At the same time Pluto, the planet of death and transformation reminds us that this is a time to let go. A time to truly transform in the way that you were meant to transform. Let go of those fears, the dead relationship, the things that are only adding toxicity to your life. Let them all go now, and rebuild anew, and the giftedness and geniusness of Uranus will allow you to do just that.

This is an alignment that some may fear and dread, and will last until 2015. As you can see though, the power is in your hands to create the life and the enlightenment that you seek, independent of anyone or anything else. Hello friends, I hope you all are enjoying your May. If you have been following my Tumblr blog then you have heard me say frequently lately that Saturn has been creating some problems in the skies when it comes to your daily astrological forecast. There is a very solid reason for this, this is no accident. This is because Saturn is currently in Scorpio, and this is a transit period for Saturn that will last until 2015. As such, this serious and sometimes brooding planet can create some intense change, especially when it is in Scorpio. So what does this mean for you? That’s exactly what we are going to talk about today.

When deep and brooding Saturn is in intuitive and intense Scorpio, you can expect some serious psychological and psychic work to unfold. This is a time period where your life can take on a complete metamorphosis if you want it to. Some people associate Saturn with the intensity of death, I prefer to consider it the intensity that comes with transformation. We don’t always like the change that happens in our lives, but it is often necessary.

Scorpio itself is connected with the 13th Major Arcana card in the Tarot which is just that, the card of Death, however this is not the death that you find with brooding Pluto. This is a transformation, an out with the old and an in with the new in the most literal and intense way imagined. But this kind of death is a teacher, a spiritual master of sorts that will show us how important it is to live in the moment and in the brevity and shortness of life to make the changes we need to in order to truly grow, and become enlightened. It is these experiences that also make Scorpio perhaps the most psychic sign of the zodiac, so know that while Saturn is in Scorpio this energy is available to you as well.

Because Scorpio is a fixed water sign, all of your stubborn tendencies are vulnerable during this period. You will want to become obsessive, possessive, and jealous, and may even experience control issues. Saturn instructs us to get to the bottom of these issues, it is fear that is keeping you so obsessive. Learn what those fears are and do what you can to absolve them otherwise you are going to spend this time one very unhappy camper.

Don’t get me wrong. I know facing those fears is not as easy as just saying that you are going to do so. But when the emotional courage is summoned and you delve into the fearful and unknown, most of the time you find out that not only is it not as bad as you thought it would be, it is even great. Anyone that has ever experienced the terror of having to say “I love you” to someone for the first time knows that this terror is almost always followed by sheer joy. Who doesn’t want to hear that? But it is a very hard thing to say. This is just one example. Saturn in Scorpio instructs us to acknowledge those fears, honor them because it is human to have them. Hello friends, I hope that you enjoyed our discussion of the Rising Signs. Knowing what your rising sign is, or your ascendant sign, or your partners can be very helpful in understanding your own astrological profile, or your partner’s. But there is a little bit of a caution to this and this is what I am going to talk about today.

When you hear about Rising Sign compatibility, the first thing most people do is rush to get their birth charts done so they can compare with their partner’s or their crush’s. And, you should do it, I’m not saying that you shouldn’t. What I am saying is that you don’t want to put all of your apples into this barrel.

Remember that the Rising Sign is only one part of who you are, it is the mask that you present to the world. The part of you, and your partner, that shines to the world. As you well know, there is so much more to you like your Moon side and so many other parts of your chart and who you are.

Rising Signs are more important for that all important starting chemistry between two people when you are considering the compatibility portion of things. Two people can have incompatible rising signs, but be compatible enough to enjoy a long healthy and loving marriage, if they have other factors that contribute to their chemistry. What are those? It can be a number of things, every relationship is different.

If you are only looking for a quick fling then, your rising sign compatibility will be very important, as that instant click and instant chemistry will be all you need to carry you through your fling. If you are looking for deeper compatibility however, you want to examine all aspects of the astrological profile of you, and your partner.

Does this mean you need to give up on understanding your rising sign? No, I would not have dedicated this long on this blog to the topic if it wasn’t important. It is simply a word of caution that this is not the only part of your relationship from an astrological perspective that you want to look at.

Pisces Rising is the type of person that likes to go with the flow. They do not get engaged in drama, although if they get caught up in it, watch out, but they generally do whatever they can to stay away from it. On your first impression with a Pisces Rising you will find someone that is gentle, creative, and peace loving, maybe they even have a little hippy in them. They are very flexible and open minded, but they can be a little unpredictable. You may find they are a different person today than they seemed to be yesterday.

Overall however they are shy, passionate, and exuberant once they get to know you well. This allows them to get along well with a great number of people. They are impressionable and they are also dreamy and soft hearted. This makes them very good artists, writers, or musicians, but they will do well in any field where they can expand on their creativity and dreamy nature.

Pisces Rising is among the most charming person you will meet. But they can be a little secretive, and this makes them intriguing as well. Their dreaminess however can be their downfall in certain situations. They have a tendency to see the world through rose colored glasses, and this makes it very difficult for them to be objective. They are very flexible, and those in romances with them may find them a little TOO flexible, because they are always wanting to keep their options open.
When they are flexing their romantic muscles however, they want to be sure they get the right partner. They look for someone that is more stable than they are when it comes to flexibility. Someone that is realistic and practical will be very good for them. Pisces is a Water Sign and so this makes them an ideal match for the Earth Signs, Water and Earth do nurture each other so this would make for a very stable, creative, and loving combination.

If you can get them to settle down though, your Pisces Rising partner will dote on you 100 percent of the way. Hopeless romantics they will make you feel like the King or the Queen that you are. Dote on them accordingly and you two will be very happy together.

As great as they are, they have a difficult time committing to one partner, as they like their own sense of freedom. They have a tendency to be restless, that’s the airy nature of their personality, and this restlessness may lead them to wander if their current partner is not meeting their needs. Their shadow side is along these lines, they can be unpredictable, and love partners can get frustrated with them because of this. If you know this about your Aquarius Rising however, you will love them enough to find the ways to keep them occupied so that they will not even dream of looking elsewhere.

We are nearing the end of our Ascendant Sign series, I hope you have been enjoying this Sunny journey with me. If just me saying that had you intrigued then you may be a Capricorn Rising. They take life very seriously, even when there is a joke in the air they are the ones in the room with the deadpan expression hoping nobody’s feelings just got hurt. But they use this deadpan very intelligently in their wit and often they are the ones making the humor that has everybody roaring. It is a very quiet but intelligent sense of humor that comes out of nowhere sometimes and just gets you going. My brother in law is a Capricorn Rising, one of the smartest funniest men I know. But not in the stand up comic kind of way, kind of in the, your favorite sarcastic uncle kind of way. Impeccable timing.

These folks are also some of the most responsible people you will meet. They make for very good partners because they don’t make commitments they can’t keep, and they keep the commitments they make. Competence is their middle name, you really can count on them. They are quite unflappable as well. When you are calling them in the middle of a raging thunderstorm that savaged a migraine on you at the very moment that you missed the freeway exit to their house, they will calmly talk you through it until you are safe and sound in their driveway. They will even come and get you and arrange to have your car picked up later because they know you are now too rattled to drive. And they won’t even blink the whole time, it’s just done.

Part of all of this is because they are very conscious of the image they project. They want to be seen as responsible. They feel, someone has to be, and it should be them. They make for great managers, supervisors, business owners, CEO’s, and even in retail. I say retail because they have a natural skill with people and so they are the kind of people that can sell ice to Eskimos, and honestly. They are not only good for leadership positions, they are naturally drawn to them. They can’t help it, it’s just where they shine. Many great leaders of our world have been Capricorn Rising.

With all of this going on they look like they have made an overnight success, but really, it’s how they live their whole life. It’s their Rising Sign. It is what makes them get up in the morning. This is all they want in life. To do well and to be recognized for the work they do. They won’t spend a ton on material things, because that is not what work is for, it is for taking care of your family. They will spoil their children rotten and make sure they have the best of everything, but will still be wearing ten year old sneakers even though they are probably making a six figure income.
What they need in love is someone who can function as the emotional center of the amazing world they create. Water signs are best for Earth signs, especially this one. When you can get responsible, grounded, rational Capricorn Rising with an emotional partner, it is a match made in heaven because the two will balance each other out flawlessly.

We near the last third of the zodiac houses, and this brings us to the Sagittarius Rising section of our Ascendant Sign discussion series. We have many other series going on right now to complement this one, particularly if you are using astrology in your primary love relationships. Let’s get to it.

For those who have the Sagitarrius Ascendant, they will be individuals that are enthusiastic and eager to explore the world. It is hard to keep these folks sitting still for too long, these are the global travelers of the world. They are very direct, blunt to the point of rude almost sometimes, but they definitely have a lot to offer. Their fiery insights are clever and optimistic and they are overall fun people to be around.

They will have their opinions though and you won’t be able to sway them too far from them. They don’t have a problem coming out right with them either, even when, sometimes especially when those opinions are controversial. They are very confident with a fantastic sense of humor and they carry a light hearted nature everywhere they go.

Because they can’t sit still for too long, this applies to all areas of their life, even love. They try to stay away from commitment and if you love a Sag you sort of have to be understanding of this from the get go or you may wind up very frustrated. They bore easily so just make sure you are finding new ways to show your love and their commitment to you won’t shake.

This fire sign is also naturally curious. They would do well in a career that involves traveling, and they are frequently pursuing philosophy and spirituality. They are very generous when they have luxuries in their life as they just want to have fun with what they work so hard for. Overall Sagittarius Rising is easy to love for this, and for all of their qualities. When we remember that they just want to be loved just like any of us, it is easier to remember how exciting and passionate they make life around us.

I hope you all have been enjoying the discussion on the Ascendant signs as much as I have been. Today we are at one of my favorites, Scorpio Rising. Oh my if you have a partner or a person in your life who is a Scorpio Rising, bless your soul. You do put up with a lot don’t you? Yes but you are nodding, they are so worth it. Indeed they are. Here we go with Scorpio today, one of the most intense signs of the zodiac. We love to love them, love to hate them, and then love to love them all over again. Why? Let’s find out.

Scorpio is a water sign and the most intense water sign of them all, perhaps because it is a Fixed Sign. Whatever Scorpio does, it does with intensity. You might love the new chocolate chip ice cream at the corner store at the end of the street, your Scorpio friend will think she is putting heaven in her mouth and could well go on about it for hours. She doesn’t love it more or better than you, just more intensely. And when Scorpio feels something about something, it fixes on that and feels intensely. When it’s good it is very very good, but when it is bad, well….in nature when Scorpions sting you, you die. Or at least you experience something horrific and painful that you don’t forget for a long time, if ever. In the zodiac, same thing.

But as intensely as you feel their negative effects, you feel their positive effects as well. And this is amplified in Scorpio Rising. You can feel them enter a room, even before they actually enter the room. Their aura is quite magical. It is one that is clearly blessed but that also says, don’t mess with them. The worst part about it, for them, is they have no idea they have this effect on people. Many people with Scorpio Rising are completely clueless at what they project and why people are the way they are around them.

People have a tendency to flock to Scorpio Rising. Scorpios and Scorpio Rising are the people that get chatted with on airplanes by complete strangers, for hours. Long detailed discussions on historic moments in someone’s childhood could be had with a scorpio rising, and you leave after knowing them less than 24 hrs but like they have made an impression you will never forget.

They are also very beautiful, but they don’t know that either. Same reaction. They have that incredible It factor effect on people but…don’t even know it. She’ll be walking down the city street on vacation and wonder cluelessly why all the men are cat calling and whistling to her, but the presumption that she will make is, “Oh my, the women in this city must enjoy these cat calling boys of this town” as she will presume they are like that with everybody. When they aren’t.

If you go out with the girls, or go out with the guys, and there’s that one amongst you that always seems to score more attention than anyone else in the group without even trying, my bet is that they have a little Scorpio in them. Somewhere : ) This is the sign that does not go unnoticed. Ever. And you will love them or hate them and nothing at all in between.

As great as they are with people they are also extremely privacy conscious, almost to the point of paranoia. Okay, to the point of paranoia. They are deeply mysterious and guarded and tell people nothing, and presume the same of everyone else. They frequently wonder who is trying to hack them or figure them out, and they will open up but rarely. Consider it an honor if a Scorpio opens up to you and respect it well or you will meet the stinger.

Because they can be a little intense they need someone who is laid back and down to earth in their life. Someone that they won’t mind when they are told to come back to planet Earth once in a while. Scorpio doesn’t mind it when you are honest with them, they just mind it when you are unkind.

Being a fixed sign they can be a bit stubborn at times, but this drive will also help them succeed. They will in fact stop at nothing to win, but they will not hurt anyone in the process so this is one place they will stop at when it comes to winning. In a crisis you can call on them if you need someone brave, confident, and good at making decisions. Scorpios are very intuitive and make hunch driven decisions that are remarkably successful.

This is one of those signs I could go on forever as there is so much to explore with this one.
